I keep getting a clipboard access message while taking exams with Internet Explorer. How do I fix this?

Návrat k častokladeným otázkám

Microsoft has made some major changes to their Internet Browser, Internet Explorer and the way that it handles security.  This causes issues with some web sites on the internet.  One persistent problem with the new security settings is a "Clipboard Access" verification text box when using forms on the web.  To fix this follow these instructions.

  1. Go to the Tools > Internet Options menu in Internet Explorer .
  2. Select the Security Tab of Internet Options and then select Trusted Sites.
  3. Select the Sites button below the zone window in the tab
  4. In order to add the university’s address to the Trusted Sites list, you will need to enter the full URL path in the textbox if it is not already there.
  5. Each university has a unique address, so be sure the full path, including http://, is correct before selecting Add.  You may also need to unselect the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone as well.
  6. Once you have the URL added select close .
Now, we will need to Allow Programmatic clipboard access for your Trusted Sites zone.  This can be done from the Security Tab by selecting the Trusted sites zone then selecting “Custom level. . .” in the Security level dialog of the Security Tab.
  7. Once the Security Settings dialog box is open you will want to scroll to the Scripting area and look for “Allow Programmatic clipboard access”.
  8. Change this to “Enable” .
  9. Select OK and OK again on the Internet Options dialog window.
